How does groovechat.fm work?
Groovechat.fm helps you to listen to music together with your friends, even in lockdown! Simply set-up a Groovechat.fm group, invite your friends by sharing the invite link, and start adding music.
How can I listen to the music during a Groovechat.fm party?
You can listen to music via your phone, computer speakers, headphones or just one headphone (useful if you also want to verbally chat to your friends during a Zoom call or Google Meet).
How can I chat with my friends about the music, or life in general?
You can use the groovechat.fm chat function or have a video call live at the same time! Pick the right music genre and you can quickly be reminiscing about being 18 again in that nightclub with background music!
I don’t have a Spotify Premium Account - what can I do?
Right now groovechat.fm only works with Spotify premium accounts - sorry!
How many friends can I invite to a GrooveChat.fm party?
You can party with as many friends as you want (or have) at any one time, to invite them simply share your Groovechat.fm invite link.
I love my friends but I’m worried some of them will monopolise the playlist - how can I stop that without offending them?
Don’t worry we’ve got you covered! We’ve limited everyone to only being able to queue 3 songs at any given time. Of course you might have THAT friend who creates a notepad list of songs ready to copy and paste - but hopefully they’re few and far between! ;-)
Can I have a GrooveChat.fm party with multiple rooms? I’d love to be able to walk around talking to my different friends/listening to different music!
You can create as many rooms as you like, and send invites to whoever you want. You can switch rooms as much as you like, and each room will have its own playlist.
